All Members of the Partnership are invited to join the scoping mission, provided there is no objection from the country.
One month prior to the mission, an email announcing the mission is circulated across the Partnership by the Scoping Lead. Members will be requested to:
share relevant information with the Scoping Lead regarding their current and pipeline projects in the country;
connect the Scoping Lead with their country office counterparts for follow up discussions.
During the scoping mission, meetings are organized, upon advice from the country FPs, with in-country stakeholders, including: government ministries, development partners, civil society organizations and the private sector. The meetings may be held in form of a kickoff workshop or bilateral discussion, or a combination of both.
The ministry responsible for gender equality and/or women and social affairs should be invited to participate in this workshop.
"There is strong political will for implementation but there is a deficit in human, financial and technical capacity. Bankability is an issue due to technical capacity. The Partnership has helped the Ministry of Climate Change realize that it must play a much stronger role in providing stewardship to this process." Member Country
